STAGE ONE: MEETING THE MOUNTAINS

What to expect

Meeting the Mountains is a five-day course with two nights on hike, and two nights on the farm to experience the pioneer lifestyle of the Wollangarra homestead. Young people hike in small groups of 10-12.

The hike is designed to be an enjoyable experience for the young people, as we are looking to establish a positive connection between them and the mountains. The hikers return on Thursday evening to a hot shower and a lamb roast dinner waiting for them. After dinner we sit around the open fire and swap our stories from the week.

School Holiday Programs

All holiday program bookings are online, with the next holiday program opening at the start of each school term. School holiday programs currently cost $275 per participant. We aim to keep this cost as low as possible, and try to ensure that Wollangarra programs are accessible to all young people who want to attend.  Full and partial sponsorship's are available on every course.

If a program is fully booked online and you wish to be placed on the waiting list, please call the homestead (03) 5148 0492. For sponsorship please send a note from the contact us section and we will call you for a chat.

Bookings close two weeks before the stage I, so we can receive all medical forms and send out transportation information to you prior to the program.

To book now please follow this link and purchase the Stage One -  Meeting The Mountains Program. It will prompt you for details, you will then receive an email from us within a couple of days.
